A Preconception Session
One hour with a board-certified OB nurse and a written preconception plan built for you.
you're probably in one of these places:
You’ve read everything, saved everything, and you’re somehow less clear than when you started.
You want to start trying in the next year or two and want to feel ready when the moment comes.
You just came off birth control and you’re thinking ahead.
You’ve started trying for a baby and you want to know if there’s anything you should be doing differently.
You’ve been told to “just relax and see what happens,” and you like a plan.
I've been part of thousands of births, and now I help women prepare for pregnancy.
I'm a board-certified obstetric nurse (RNC-OB) with over 6 years in obstetrics and neonatal care. I've worked labor and delivery at a center delivering more than 6,500 babies a year, served as charge nurse, circulated cesareans, stabilized newborns, and teach neonatal resuscitation as an NRP instructor. Before that, I managed a family birth center: 1,300 deliveries a year and a staff of 120.
Birth taught me how much the months before pregnancy matter. Your hormones, your stress, and how prepared you feel all come with you into it.
That background shapes how I work. I know what a normal variation looks like and what deserves a workup. I know when the answer is food and sleep, and I know when the answer is a referral. I won't hand you a supplement list for something that needs a physician, and I won't send you to a physician for something your body is doing exactly right.
I also work outside a fifteen-minute appointment slot by choice, which means I have time to read and understand your whole picture before we ever talk.
First
A thorough form covering your cycle, your history, your medications, how you eat and move, your work and stress, and what you’re actually hoping for. Set aside half an hour for this, and I’ll read it in full before we meet.
Next
We meet over video for an hour. We open with what I noticed in your intake, and then we work through your three focus areas: why each one matters for your body, and what to do about it. There’s time set aside at the end for your questions.
Finally
Within five business days, I’ll build a plan from our conversation. It will include your three focus areas with specific actions to take, and what we’re deliberately leaving alone for now. If your intake warrants it, I’ll document and organize your history to take to your provider.
Three things to focus on. The three focus areas from your session, with clear next steps for each.
Permission to stop. Most women arrive doing or thinking about more than they need to. Part of my job is telling you what you can put down, including the devices and supplements you can take off your shopping list.
A clearer picture of your own cycle. What your data is telling you, what it isn’t, and what’s worth tracking.
Something to bring to your provider, when it’s warranted. Your cycle, history, symptoms, and timeline – organized clearly, with specific questions and tests to ask about. Very few patients arrive this prepared, and it changes the conversation.
The follicle you’ll ovulate in three months is developing right now. That’s the honest reason this work takes time to show up, and it’s also why starting before you’re actively trying is the most useful thing you can do. If you’re already trying, this doesn’t change. The work you start this month will show up in cycles ahead.
This package is education and preparation. It isn’t medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or fertility care. It works alongside your provider, not in place of them.
If you’ve been trying for more than 12 months, or more than 6 months if you’re over 35, you meet the criteria for a fertility evaluation. That should come first.
If your intake shows that you could use a workup, or shows anything else that needs medical attention before coaching, I’ll tell you. You can take a referral and a full refund, or keep the session and leave with a thorough write-up to bring to your provider. Your choice.
